THE Spinnaker Tower will turn purple on Monday to mark World Prematurity Day.

Action Stations at the Historic Dockyard and the Portsmouth Park and Ride base will join the tower in changing colour to raise awareness of babies born prematurely.

Lorraine Blackburn, from neonatal charity Ickle Pickles, is also encouraging people to upload photos of kangaroo huddles on social media – where premature babies or grown up premature babies are held tightly by their parents.
