A FORMER News reporter who went on to work for the world’s best-known media mogul has revealed all in a new book.

John Bull, of Gosport, covered the Fareham area when he joined The News aged just 17 in the 1950s.

He then went on to work for the News of the World for almost 20 years.

He has now released a book titled I Was Rupert Murdoch’s Figleaf, which gives an insight into life in the newsroom.

Mr Bull, who was at the Gosport Discovery Centre, in High Street, to sign copies of his book, said: ‘The book is about what it was like to work for Rupert Murdoch on the News of the World in the 1960s and 1970s.

‘I hope it will give a fresh perspective on Rupert Murdoch.’
