OLDER people and their families are being invited to a roadshow in Emsworth.

The event is part of the Being Independent in Later Life campaign, or Bill for short.

The Bill team will be in St Peter’s Square tomorrow from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Officers from local authorities and voluntary organisations will be there with information and advice about bus timetables, walking for health, residential care, health issues, support for carers and help at home.

The theme for the roadshow will be ‘Things to do and places to go’ and the team will have ideas on how to retain independence.

The scheme, supported by Havant Borough Council, is now in its second year and is funded by Havant’s Older Person’s Wellbeing Partnership.

Officers said the roadshow is also an opportunity for local residents to tell them what services and activities they want and need in the future.

No appointment is necessary. For more information call (023) 9244 6019 or visit
