A WOMAN who had a double lung transplant is preparing to run the London Marathon.

Louisa Winslade, from Bognor Regis, received a life-saving transplant in 2006 after her lungs had severely deteriorated due to cystic fibrosis.

Without the operation, she was given two months to live.

Ms Winslade, who works at Barclays bank, said: ‘Five years ago I didn’t have the strength to walk down my driveway or wash my own hair so I’ve really come so far.’
