It will be a national award, awarded every year to the person or people who make the biggest contribution to their community.

All three children were invited to attend the O2 Think Big Digital Awards in London on Wednesday, where they also won the award for outstanding contribution.

Organisers were so impressed that three children from the same family did so much to help others in the community, that they decided to rename the accolade.

Proud mum Emma Hine said the family were shocked when O2 announced the news.

She said: ‘We were totally speechless.

‘To win an award is amazing but to have one named after you which will be awarded year after year is unbelievable.’

All three youngsters carry out volunteer work in the local community as part of the O2 Think Big programme, which funds young people aged 13 to 25 to run community projects in their area.

Chloe, 17, runs charity Beat the Bullies, which helps children who have been or are being bullied.

Lewis, 15, runs Friend Finder, which helps children who miss a lot of school through illness or disability come together to make friends

Lily Freeston, who organised the Think Big Digital Awards said; ‘They have made big contributions to the programme and to have three members of the same family all running excellent projects is great.

‘They are all really doing good for their community.

‘So we thought that we would give them an award as well as rename it in their honour so the legacy of their efforts continue.’
