She is the most photographed woman in British history - and we are looking for your special pictures of the Queen.

She is set to become the longest ever reigning monarch in British history next week.

On September 9, she will pass the record set by her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.

Buckingham Palace has calculated that Queen Victoria reigned for 23,226 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes, taking into account 63 years, 15 leap days, additional months and days and the precise timings of her accession and death.

The Queen, who is now 89, has visited the Portsmouth area many times during her long reign and to mark the milestone we’re planning to publish as many as possible of the individual pictures taken by people of her.

Please email your picture to pictures@thenews.co.uk making sure you include your name, address and telephone number as well as a brief description of where and when the picture was taken and what you remember of the moment.
