PEOPLE willing to become on-call firefighters in Waterlooville are being asked to come forward.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for retained firefighters to help deal with fires, road accidents, floods and community work.

The service is looking for local people to provide a part-time service who are available during week days and live or work within about four minutes from the fire station in Forest End.

They will be expected to attend training sessions one night a week and will get a retaining fee and additional payments for any courses or incidents they attend.
