A SHOP ravaged by fire is looking to give something back to the community.

The Co-op in Westbourne is hoping to make a £10,000 donation by launching a community card which customers can swipe when they buy groceries.

The shop reopened last month after a fire started by an electrical fault.

Retail business manager Stephanie Clarke said: ‘This is the first time that we’ve run the Community Store Card Scheme here at Westbourne, so we’re excited. Organisations and charities that would like to bid for this can pick up an application form from the store.’
