A DEAL to revamp Southsea Castle has been signed and sealed.

City leisure chief Cllr Lee Hunt and Gambol Parker from social enterprise the Yellow Kite Cafe rubber-stamped the deal which means the castle will soon be free to enter.

As reported in The News, a new healthy eating cafe is to open in May along with a marquee for events.

A room for weddings will also be built as part of the 10-year lease deal.

When work is finished in the spring, the castle will be free to enter from Tuesday to Sunday.
