Southsea firefighters tackle unexplained car fire in Buckland car park

A crew from Southsea fire station was dispatched to the blaze in a car park off Sultan Road at around 11pm last night.

An attending firefighter said: ‘It was a single car fire in Sultan Road. The car was 80 per cent damaged by fire. The owner was present, and the cause of the fire is unknown.

‘We dispatched one engine, which was at the scene for about an hour.’
