Former Dynasty star, and patron of the Kings Theatre in Southsea, Kate O’Mara has died.

The 74-year-old died this morning in a Sussex nursing home after a short illness.

Her agent Phil Belfield said: ‘She was extraordinary, she had so much energy and vitality with a love for theatre and acting.’

Ms O’Mara’s grandfather, Julien Bainbridge was a manager of the Kings Theatre for many years and her great-grandfather built the theatre.
