THERE are lots of treats at a garden centre this half-term.

Children are in for a spooky time at Garsons Garden Centre, Fontley Road, in Titchfield.

All kinds of creepy-crawlies dropped by at the centre yesterday including a tarantula, scorpion, corn snake and stick insect.

Clare James, from Garsons, said: ‘We’ve never had creepy crawlies visit us before. It’s was a new experience to get touchy-feely with them, although we have insects and small pets in our Pet and Wildlife Centre but not quite so creepy.

‘It was fun for everyone daring enough to get close to them.’

Little monsters can get a Halloween makeover with spooky facepainting today from 11am to 3pm and there is a free chilling colouring competition for the rest of the week.
