THE CIVIC offices were awash with colour at a council’s Wear A Hat Day 2015.

Staff throughout Portsmouth City Council donned their headgear to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research.

David MacPherson, front end web developer for the council, and organiser of the event for staff, said: ‘This is the third year we’ve supported Wear A Hat Day, It’s such an important cause and it’s a great way to spread some happiness around the office and raise money.’

The day was a great success with council staff raising £580.41 for the cause.

Mr MacPherson said: ‘Everyone here at the council has been a great sport, and happy to wear a ridiculous hat for the day to help someone else in need. I’m thrilled with how much we raised.’
