ANIMALS at the Ark are desperate for more bedding.

Supporters of the Stubbington Ark animal shelter are being asked to donate their old towels, sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and blankets.

Vanessa Eden, fundraising manager said: ‘We have seen an increase in the amount of animals being taken in at the shelter these past couple of months due to unwanted litters and people not being able to afford to keep their pets.

‘We are literally running out of bedding. We would be grateful for old blankets, towels, pillowcases, sheets and duvet covers.

‘Anything that will provide our animals with a comfortable place to lie.

‘The three Hs, hotels, hospitals and hair salons are also good sources of bedding, and I urge anyone responsible for supplies there to get in touch.’

Bedding can be brought to the shelter in Ranvilles Lane, Fareham, seven days a week, 10am till 4pm or for large quantities ring (01329) 666916 to arrange collection.
