PEOPLE from Wallington and beyond gathered for a community fete.

Welly-wanging and donkey rides were just two of the highlights at the annual Wallington summer fete.

The fete took place on Saturday Wallington water meadow, near Fareham.

Fraser Cavanagh is the chair of the fete committee, which is run by the Wallington Village Community Association.

He said: ‘It went really well.

‘It was quite a good turnout. The weather always helps with that.

‘It’s good because it gets the village involved.

‘We got an incredible turnout from both Wallington and further afield.’

There was also a duck race, a tug of war and a vintage vehicle parade.
