PEOPLE in Fareham who were born in the same year as the Queen are being invited to a tea party in honour of her 90th birthday this year.

As part of the Queen’s birthday celebrations, the new mayor of Fareham for 2016/17 is holding a tea party on Monday, June 13 at Ferneham Hall for residents who will celebrate their 90th birthday in 2016.

Deputy mayor of Fareham, councillor Connie Hockley, who will become mayor in May said: ‘If you or someone you know was born in 1926, come along and celebrate.

‘It will be a pleasure to spend the afternoon together and hear some of the stories from the past nine decades.

‘We will all have a wonderful afternoon in honour of the Queen’s landmark birthday, and, at the same time, give our own nonagenarians a tea party to remember.’
