A BATTLE with bowel cancer has inspired a grandmother to raise money for charity.

Cake maker Lorraine Till is opening up her home in Old Bedhampton to host a two-day tea party.

The event takes place from 11am to 5pm over the weekend of August 30 and 31.

The 56-year-old is recovering from cancer and will be raising money for Queen Alexandra’s Rocky Appeal and Cancer Research. She said: ‘The hospital has been brilliant.’

The event is at 20 Lower Road.
