CONTESTANTS who have spent months honing their bodies and perfecting their poses will take to the stage at the end of the month.

More than 100 competitors will be strutting their stuff in the UKBFF South Coast body building show at Portsmouth Guildhall on April 28.

The day will feature men’s and women’s competitions, as well as junior and senior categories.

And for the winners, there will be the chance to step up to the British finals later in the year in Manchester.

Show organiser Paul Smith said: ‘This is our 11th year here in Portsmouth. In that first year we had 35 competitors, and last year we had 105.

‘We pull in more than 1,000 spectators – it’s the biggest qualifier in Britain.

‘One thing that surprises some people is that it’s a really family-oriented show, there’s face-painting and all sorts of things for the kids. There’s a really good atmosphere.

‘If you’ve never been before it’s a real eye-opener.’

Tickets cost £20 each, and accompanied under-16s are free. For information go to efbbsouthcoast.co.uk
