A POPULAR car show is to return to Thorney Island.
Modified Madness draws in crowds of thousands to watch impressive stunts and displays and test their own driving to the limits.
There will be drag-racing, a handling circuit, motorbike stunts, live music and dancers, a funfair and a host of car competitions at the event on September 17.
One of the organisers, Rob Gladstone, said: ‘It’s going to be packed with lots of hot action, cars and stunts. There will also be an array of different cars to test out on the circuits.
‘Hopefully the sun will shine, everything will go tickety-boo and we’ll all have a really good day.’
It’s the third time the show has been held in Baker Barracks on Thorney Island.
It was originally organised for July but there were a couple of issues getting a licence from landowners the Defence Estates – part of the Ministry of Defence. These problems have since been resolved.
