A PENSIONER has transformed her home into a winter wonderland to give young and old a magical experience.

Veteran fundraiser Julie Scarborough is inviting people of all ages to her home this Saturday.

Julie and her volunteers have created a Christmas grotto.

Julie said: ‘We have got a lovely Father Christmas and a beautiful grotto.

‘Everyone is welcome from nought years to over 100 years.

‘We have got presents for everyone.

‘We have got two human reindeer.’

The grotto will be open from 11am to 3.30pm and again on the following Saturday, December 13, at the same times.

There will be a room full of toys and books for sale.

Funds from the day will go to Naomi House Children’s Hospice and The Rocky Appeal at Queen Alexandra Hospital. Entry is £1.75. Her home is at 9 The Crest, Widley.
