GARDENING fans can see some stunning examples at Fareham’s annual open gardens event on Sunday.

The event, from 11am to 6pm, gives the public the chance to visit six of the Fareham in Bloom award winning gardens. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought from any garden, covering entry to all six. Proceeds go to charity.

Cllr Connie Hockley, in charge of leisure matters, said: ‘I’d encourage as many people as possible to come and take a look at all of the hard work and effort that people have put in to these beautiful gardens.’

Gardens taking part are: 45 Segensworth Road, Titchfield; 8 Birdwood Grove and Northern Junior Community School, Richmond Rise, both in Portchester; 51 Longmynd Drive, 2 Shenley Close, 11 Brecon Close, all Fareham.
