THE Spinnaker Tower is holding its own Blue Day this summer by slashing the prices to take part in an abseil.

The tower will offer abseils for £25 – reduced from £85, to raise money for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

Blue Day is an annual fundraiser which took place on Friday, May 2, in memory of Tom Prince, a Pompey fan who died of osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.

General manager Sarah Webb said: ‘The Tom Prince Cancer Trust is our local charity, chosen by our team members.

‘We raise money for the charity throughout the year but this is a big event where we hope to contribute a significant amount to help the charity in its quest to fund osteosarcoma research.’

The day is on Sunday, August 2 and supporters are asked to raise £200 each.

Visit spinnakertower.co.uk to find out more and call (023) 9285 7520 to book. Sponsorship forms are also available on the website.
