MAKE do and mend by recycling and refashioning old clothes with experts.

Havant craft charity Making Space is teaming up with the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth to offer free taster sessions and ongoing craft workshops on the theme of Make Do and Mend.

Using the Overlord Embroidery at the D-Day Museum for inspiration, textile artist Jill Allnutt will be giving two free taster sessions in Gosport where the public can transform old garments.

The first is today at Nimrod Community Centre and the second is on September 5 at Gosport Discovery Centre.

The sessions run from 10am until 2pm and 1pm to 3pm. People can drop in with fabrics and old garments they would like to transform. For information go to makingspace.org.
