A BRONZE bust of the man who played an integral role in salvaging the wreck of the Mary Rose will be unveiled next week.

The statue of the late Alexander McKee OBE will be on permanent display at Hayling Island Library, in Elm Grove.

Mr McKee lived on Hayling Island.

The bronze will be unveiled at 1pm next Friday. Hayling Councillor Frank Pearce has helped to pay for the bust through the council’s budget.
