UNSUNG heroes will be rewarded for their work at an awards evening.

On July 19, Oasis is hosting an
honours evening, titled the HALOs – Honours for Achievement in Landport at Oasis.

The awards recognise the heroes of Landport and the city centre in Portsmouth.

An overall unsung hero will be announced alongside finalists of each category being given awards.

Individuals will be highlighted in a variety of categories such as customer service, community involvement and young carer.

Sue Dean, assistant at Oasis, encouraged as many people as possible to come along and said: ‘We believe it’s important to honour everyone who works as hard as they do.

‘Residents are encouraged to nominate any unsung heroes that come to mind.

‘Nominations can be submitted through nomination forms available at various locations including The Deaf Centre, Roberts Centre, St Faith’s Community Centre, and the Oasis venue office.

‘The evening will be a glamorous, black-tie event with live music, dancing, and food.’

Tickets are £10.
