AUSTRALIAN urban folk singer Rory Ellis will be making his first appearance at a popular poetry night.

Write Angle, in Petersfield, will play host to Ellis on June 19 at The Square Brewery.

He has performed at venues across the country and has released three well received albums.

Poets and songwriters are also welcome to step up to the take part in the popular open mic part of the show.

There will also be a raffle where the winners get two free meals at the India Gate restaurant, in Chichester.

Tickets cost £4 and the evening starts at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
