Some of the creatures, all made out of thousands of plastic bricks, are up to twelve times the size of their real life counterparts.

Lottie the otter, made of a mighty 15,500 bricks, will be joined by Flavia the Andean flamingo, Benedict the Bewick swan and Kate the Kingfisher when they are installed later this month.

A staggering 120,300 LEGO bricks were used to build the nine characters, over a period of 915 hours.

Lottie the Otter and Bruce the red breasted Goose were the most time-intensive, taking the team 120 hours each.
