A hapless shopper who wandered into a handbag store wrestled with a thief during a £25,000 raid - before being sent flying out of the door by a second robber.

The two brazen thieves stole more than £25,000 of expensive bags and left one member of the public frightened and shaken after he tried to tackle the driver at the entrance of the store. In the broad-daylight robbery the motorcycle pillion passenger marched the store armed with a knife and a metal bar which he used to threaten staff. Moments later, the driver of the getaway vehicle walked into the store and began taking handbags from the shop window.
