A tattoo artist in the USA is offering a new service to clients - removing and framing pieces of inked skin from body art lovers after they die.

When a tattoo enthusiast dies, their mourning relatives notify Save My Ink, who cut the tattoo out of their body and preserve it - skin and all.

It is then put through a chemical and enzymatic process to permanently alter the chemical structure of the tissue and stop it from decaying.

The effect is that the ink pops out even more than it does on the body - making for a perfect piece of art to hang on the wall forever.
