Video - Offbeat: Thief falls on his backside as he steals motorbike

Police are on the hunt for a hapless thief who fell on his backside while trying to steal a motorbike.

CCTV footage shows two suspects jumping from a moped, breaking a lock on a motorbike and pushing the stolen vehicle away.

But the theft of the grey Suzuki DI650, which took place in an underground car park in Tower Hamlets, east London, was not as smooth as the pair would have hoped.

Footage shows one clumsy criminal attempting to drag a motorbike away, before overbalancing and rolling over, with his legs flailing in the air.

The first suspect is a white male, who was wearing a black biker’s helmet, a dark blue jumper, light coloured jeans and black shoes.

The second, also a white man, was wearing a black and grey helmet, a dark blue jumper and trousers and trainers.

The bike was stolen on September 10, but it was not reported to the police until September 13.
