NATIONAL Volunteers Week begins on Monday and there are events going on to mark it.

On June 6 the Volunteer Service will be holding a
coffee morning at Havant Methodist Church, off Petersfield Road in Havant from 10am to 1pm.

They will be joined by The V-team which is a group of volunteers aiming to improve their lives and those of others through volunteering.

Helen Freeston, from Community First HEH, said: ‘Volunteering can make a real difference to your own life and the lives of those around you.

‘No matter how much time you have, and what your skills are, everyone has something to give and will be rewarded by many positive and life-enhancing experiences.

‘For many people this can be a helpful stepping stone into employment.’
