VOLUNTEERS will come together for a coffee morning at Havant Methodist Church to mark the 30th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week.

Community First’s Volunteers’ Service is organising the event on Friday, June 6, from 10am to 1pm.

The group’s volunteer centre manager Helen Freeston said anyone who wanted to ask about volunteering opportunities was welcome to come along.

Ms Freeston said: ‘Volunteering can make a real difference to your own life and the lives of those around you.

‘No matter how much time you have, what your skills are, everyone has something to give and will be rewarded by many positive and life-enhancing experiences.

‘For many people this can be a helpful stepping stone into employment.’

There will also be an Employability Fair at the Alton Community Centre on Friday, June 6, from 11am to 6pm.
