A CADET with a selfless attitude is hoping to be named as an ambassador to promote helping others.

Louis Cadden, from Gosport, is competing against 14 other young people to be named as CVQO Regional Ambassador for 2016.

The 17-year-old was nominated for the work he does as part of the HMS Collingwood Volunteer Cadet Corps.

If he wins, Louis will receive the honorary title and will be invited to a celebration lunch at the House of Lords. He was nominated for his selfless attitude and desire to help others.

Guy Horridge, chief executive of CVQO, said: ‘The CVQO Regional Ambassador represents a very important role at the charity.

‘The winner will work together with us and their local youth groups to champion vocational qualifications.’
