MORE than 100 children got to meet Father Christmas at a very special grotto.

Champion fundraiser Julie Scarborough transformed her Widley home into a winter wonderland, complete with reindeer last Saturday.

The event raised almost £500 for Naomi House Children’s Hospice so she is doing it all again over the next two Saturdays.

She said: ‘It was wonderful, everyone had a lovely day. Children can always expect a warm welcome at my house.’

Entry includes a chat with Father Christmas, a gift and refreshments, all for £1.50.

There will be a tombola where you win every time, lots of books for children and adults, and plenty of jewellery. The whole family can enjoy the music room too.

Doors open 10.30am to 4pm. The address is 9, The Crest, PO7 5DJ. It is the second right after The George Pub when travelling north.
