TWO memorial services will remember loved ones who have died.

Next Wednesday people are invited to the ‘Light Up A Life’ service at St George’s Church, Waterlooville.

The service has been organised by Naomi House and Jack’s Place Hospice, near Winchester.

Father Mike Sheffield, of St George’s, said: ‘During the service candles will be lit as prayers are said for all the children and teenagers who are currently in the care of hospice and for those who have died there.’

The service starts at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, the memorial tree is now up at the church and ready for names to be hung on it.

The tree has been provided by Edwards Funeral Directors of Waterlooville.

Anyone is welcome to come into the church, write the name of a deceased loved one on a golden star and then hang it on the tree.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16 at 7.30pm, when all the names will be read aloud and prayed for.
