It was a two-horse race for honours in this year’s Havant & Emsworth district quiz league.
The team from West Leigh only just pipped last season’s winners Woolpack Fishbourne to the title.
Both teams ended the season answering 1,162 questions correctly but West Leigh took the title by virtue of winning one more match than the Woolpack.
All through the season, which has just finished, it has been nip and tuck between the teams and they have switched places at the top of the table many times.
The Bear Hotel’s Andy King won the singles competition for the second year running.
Landlord of the Woolpack, Nick O’Flanagan, presented the prizes to the winning team of five.
Quiz master Chris Bailey has run the league for 26 years and looks forward to another season starting on October 4.
If anyone is interested in forming a team of five players to enter the league, they can contact Chris on 01329 511911.
