MANY people don’t know much about the charity Debra.

So in a bid to raise awareness and draw people in, staff at the charity shop in West Street, Fareham, create unique window displays. It changes to suit current themes such as the Oscars, the Isle of Wight Festival and the Royal Wedding. This shows a wish tree, displaying people’s thoughts, messages and wishes. One customer was so impressed she donated £10.

Debra supports people with rare skin conditions.

Deborah Baber-Taylor, manager of the shop, said: ‘We try to do things a bit differently.

‘I have tried to raise the profile of the charity. Doing the windows is part of the fun of it. It creates a great interest from lots of local residents.’
