IT HAS been a tough job but the Woman of the Year Awards shortlist is out

It took weeks to read through and whittle down the scores of nominations for this year’s event to those featured on the right.

The women who have made the shortlist come from a huge cross-section of the community – amazing mums, those with a flair for fashion and courageous women who never gave up – no matter what life threw at them.

All those who made the list will be contacted by our events team from Monday with full details.

Rosie Morgan, from The News’ events team, said: ‘We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the nominations.

‘It would be great to see as many people as possible on the night. It’s going to be amazing.’

The ceremony is at The Marriott Hotel, North Harbour, on November 22. It is black tie event with a two-course meal.

Tickets are available to buy now from jpsouthevents.co.uk
