A GARAGE is holding a free advice evening for women.

Tonight the Kwik-Fit centre in New Road, Havant, will be giving female drivers hints and tips on issues relating to power, oil, water, electrics and rubber.

It is run by manager Garry Chapman, who said: ‘The point of the evening is to teach basic car maintenance to women who are perhaps a little intimidated by their car.

‘It’s not about being able to service a gearbox, it’s providing the level of knowledge that is required for safe driving – like being able to judge when a tyre’s in need of attention.’

The half-hour-long sessions begin at 6.30pm until 8.30pm.

To book your free place call Mr Chapman on (023) 9249 9756.
