Have your say

IF YOU have both a passion for music and green fingers, a new creative event will be music to your ears.

Rowner Community Trust (RCT) is running Cre8 Rowner, which will see families make musical instruments out of vegetables so they can take part in an orchestra.

But whittling carrots and potatoes are not the only activities on offer.

The event, on Saturday, August, 3, from 11am to 3pm will see drama, drumming, singing and arts and crafts workshops at Rowner Recreation Field, in Rowner, Gosport.

It is being run with Ashcroft Arts Centre, in Fareham, and First Wessex.

Paula Plunkett, community facilitator at RCT, said she wants as many people as possible to turn up.

She said: ‘It’s about families spending time one another.

‘It’s not just aimed at Rowner residents.’
