A PERSON had to be talked out of the sea near The Hard, Portsmouth, in the early hours of this morning.
Portsmouth Coastguard posted on their Facebook page that they were called at around 1am along with crews from South Central Ambulance Service (Scas).
It said: ‘The team stood by on-scene with Scas while officers from Hampshire Police negotiated with the individual and persuaded then to return to land.
‘The wet and cold casualty was then taken into the care of the ambulance crew and all assets were stood down.’
Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (Gafirs) was also called but stood down after 10 minutes.
