A KNITTED beard and Santa hat scored Mark and Ruth Cole £100 worth of gardening vouchers.

The husband and wife of Rothesay Road, Gosport, won The News’ One Christmas Day contest.

And their prize was a £100 gift vouchers for Garsons Garden Centre, in Titchfield.

Garsons stock a large range of food, plants, gifts and homeware.

Each year people are invited to take a picture that captures their Christmas.

The winning picture for 2012, shows Ruth, 46, wearing a knitted Santa beard and hat which actually belonged to Mark.

Her cheeky expression won the heart’s of our judges and the pair were picked as winners.
