FIREFIGHTERS battled a massive fire in Waterlooville in the early hours of this morning.
Six pumps from Cosham, Southsea, Havant, Waterlooville and Portchester were called to the blaze on Waterberry Drive at around midnight.
Four to five jets were used to put out the fire at an office block within the small business park. Staff who were in the building at the time escaped without injury.
Dave Adcock, director of the company, said: ‘Some of my colleagues were working late last night and an electrical fire started so they’re actually working when the fire occurred.’
He said the workers fled to safety and were unhurt.
Crews were at the scene until 4am.
A spokesman from Southsea station said: ‘Six pumps went along to the fire along with the aerial ladder platform team from St Mary’s.
‘It was at a business building within the business park.
‘The fire was well alight when the first crews arrived.’
He added the cause of the fire is being investigated.
