PORTSMOUTH Guildhall came alive with the sound of music at the weekend for the annual Royal Naval Volunteer Band Association’s festival.
The event saw bands compete in marching displays and concert performances in Guildhall Square.
The bands come from establishments across the UK and feature groups including the Royal Naval Pipers’ Society.
People stopped in the square on Saturday to watch the performances from various musical associations to do with the armed forces.
The music went on for most of the day.
