PLANS will be put together on how the waters along the area’s coastline can be used.

The Marine Management Organisation has announced the coast and seas from Dover to the River Dart in Devon will be given a marine plan.

It will lay down what can be done with the space found on our seas, including things like wind farms, shipping and fishing.

The plan-making officially starts early next year and will take in people’s views.

Steve Brooker, from the organisation, said: ‘England’s south inshore and offshore marine areas were chosen for their wide range of marine activities that need to coexist in these busy waters.

‘These marine areas are identified as environmentally sensitive so it is vitally important new activities are introduced in a sustainable way.’
