A STRATEGY covering the Gosport and Fareham coastline will look at reducing the risks of flooding.

The project, led by the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership, will look at the stretch of coastline from the River Hamble to Portchester.

It will consider different approaches to reduce the risk to people and the local area from flooding and coastal erosion.

Local councils will also be involved in the plans which is looking at potential problems over the next 100 years.

Over the coming months, a range of coastal management options will be short-listed.

These might include new sea walls, beach replenishment or property level flood protection measures.

The public consultation dates are yet to be confirmed but will be published on the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership website at escp.org.uk
