Snow pictured this morning in Horndean Picture: Ian Hargreaves (120487-3)
A LIGHT dusting of snow covered Portsmouth and its surrounding areas last night.
Snow fell from 8pm until midnight as temperatures across the region dropped to 1C (33.8F)
Earlier this morning Hampshire County Council began salting minor roads and community routes for the second day in a row.
But weather forecasters from the met office say more snow is unlikely and warmer temperatures are expected at the weekend.

Friday, February 10, 2012 at 01:48 PMThe News are a funny bunch, you contact them asking if they will send a reporter and photographer to an event in the community they say they will turn up and don't! Yet they are happy to ask for photo's of non-existant snow... they have the cheek to call themselves a 'Community Newspaper'.
