LITERATURE inspired by the environment will be the subject of a conference.

The half-day event tomorrow is part of the Havant Literary Festival.

Speakers include Dr Rebecca Welshman, of Liverpool University, who will talk about the work of pioneer naturalist Richard Jefferies. Dr Adeline John-Putra, of Surrey University, will discuss the interplay of ecology and literature.
