A CYCLIST was injured in a hit-and-run into outside a school.

The 48-year-old woman was hit in St Mary’s Road outside Portsmouth Academy for Girls.

She went over the handlebars of her bike and suffered cuts to her face and arms.

A white van continued to drive after the crash on Tuesday at 10.20am.

PC Rob Giles said: ‘There were lots of people around, many who stopped to help the cyclist.

‘None have so far been able to give any details of the vehicle.

‘I’d therefore like to hear from anyone who saw the van or knows who anything that could assist with our enquiries.’
