£6m funding from county council for mental health centres

MENTAL health centres will get £6m over the next five years.

The money from Hampshire County Council will support the expansion and development of mental health wellbeing centres.

Jointly commissioned by the council and Hampshire’s five Clinical Commissioning Groups as part of an £8m contract with the voluntary sector, the centres provide a range of services to support people. They act as a ‘one-stop shop’ covering employment to housing. People can self-refer or are referred by their GP.

Centres are located around the area including Gosport, Fareham and Havant.
